Mr. Salaudeen, in his address to the management staff, advocated for strategic support from the state command to engage local communities and foster a civil-military relationship by building awareness and trust to address the state’s security challenges effectively.
He emphasized that the NSCDC, as the primary security outfit interfacing directly with the public, plays a crucial role in promoting peace, ensuring citizens’ safety, and safeguarding national assets and infrastructure.
“Given the essential role of the Corps in humanitarian efforts, the CLEEN Foundation deemed it significant to visit your esteemed office to present our objectives in our mission to promote lasting peace in Zamfara State,” he said.
The program director appealed for the command’s cooperation with CLEEN Foundation’s initiatives, which are aimed at mitigating the impact of banditry and other security issues in the state.
In response, the NSCDC State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, affirmed that under his leadership, the Zamfara State command would do its utmost to support peace and security.
“This is a welcome development, and the state command is committed to collaborating towards achieving sustainable peace in Zamfara State,” he assured.
