President-elect Donald Trump has lamented the state of education in the United States of America.

Trump in his recent speech described the status of education as the worst.

Trump asserted that states, not federal entities, are best positioned to run their education systems, arguing that they can deliver better outcomes for students.

“We spend more money per pupil by three times than any other nation, and yet we’re absolutely at the bottom,” Trump noted, highlighting the inefficiencies he sees in the federal approach to education.

Trump also voiced concerns about what he perceives as a negative influence within the current Department of Education.

He spoke strongly against those he believes hold anti-American sentiments, suggesting this as another reason for reducing the federal government’s involvement.

Under his administration, he pledged to “end education coming out of Washington D.C.,” envisioning a more localized and state-centered system to better serve the nation’s children.
