The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has bemoaned the growing rate of corruption and other sharp practices with Nigeria ranking 150 among the 180 corrupt nations of the world.
Egbetokun disclosed in a paper presented themed Unlocking Progress; The Indispensable Trio of Security, Governance and Citizens Responsibilities at the 76th Convocation lecture at the University of Ibadan on Wednesday.

The IGP who made reference to the Global Perception Index disclosed that in 2022, the country lost 18 billion dollars to corruption and other sharp practices.
According to him, “In 2022, Nigeria ranked 150th out of 180 countries on the corruption Perception Index.
