Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has expressed his commitment to partnering with the Sokoto chapter of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) to foster the state’s development.

The governor made this assurance on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by members of the association to his office.

He emphasised the diverse expertise within AANI, noting that each member’s unique professional background could significantly contribute to the state’s progress.

“Let me remind you that the state government made substantial investments in sponsoring your attendance at this prestigious institute. Therefore, we expect much from your wealth of experience,” Aliyu stated.

Highlighting his administration’s support for the institute, the governor mentioned the recent donation of two vehicles to its Muslim community, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering collaboration.

He also assured the association of open communication channels to discuss issues affecting the state’s development.

In his remarks, Shehu Usman Ladan, Chairman of the Sokoto AANI chapter, praised the governor for ongoing developmental strides in areas such as security, water supply, social welfare, and infrastructure.

“Your Excellency, we commend the transformation across various sectors. We are ready to contribute and collectively elevate our state to greater heights,” Ladan said.

He also expressed gratitude for appointing AANI members to key positions, including Aminu Haliru Dikko as Chief of Staff and Gandi Umar Muhammad as Senior Special Assistant on Administration and Legal Matters.
