THE Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to fostering partnerships with private-sector stakeholders to advance Nigeria’s livestock sector. This was underscored by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development, Honourable Idris Abiola-Ajimobi, during the South-West Cattle, Sheep, and Goat Farmers Day Out and Exhibition in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The event, themed: “Sustaining Livestock Resilience in Changing Times: Innovation, Collaboration, and Growth for the Ruminant Sector”, was organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development in collaboration with Real People Concept, a company renowned for its expertise in livestock technology. It took place at the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT).

Highlighting the Federal Government’s efforts, Honourable Abiola-Ajimobi emphasised the pivotal role his office has played in bringing together ruminant farmers, fostering collaboration and driving innovation within the sector. He commended Real People Concept for its forward-thinking approach, stating:

“Real People Concept is leading with innovative, data-driven solutions to revolutionise the livestock sector. This program underscores their commitment to using technology to improve livestock farming in Nigeria. We deeply appreciate their initiative and look forward to future collaborations.

“As a government, we are determined to engage with companies and stakeholders who share our vision for a sustainable and resilient livestock industry. I urge other innovators and entrepreneurs in the livestock sector to partner with our office as we work together to build a stronger, food-secure nation.”

Mr. Olawole Tunmise Olagbaju, Managing Director and CEO of Real People Concept, also lauded the government’s support, particularly the leadership of Honourable Abiola-Ajimobi, in uniting ruminant farmers across the South-West. He noted:

“This event marks a significant milestone for ruminant farmers in the region. By coming together, learning, and networking, we can unlock the untapped potential of Nigeria’s livestock industry.
