Northern Quolls inhabit different terrains but are historically very common in northern and western Australia. They love to dwell in rocky areas, trees, and forests. In appearance, northern quolls are mouse-like, but they’re cats. They are also referred to as north native cats or Australian native cats.

The male and female only come in contact when they want to mate.

The males mate with different females simultaneously. In other words, the females are visited in their den by multiple males, leading to them conceiving every year.

4. Short lifespan

The male quoll only lives for about a year, while the female is between two to three years.

6. They consume poisonous food

Constant consumption of cane toads kills them because they contain poison. This has reduced their population drastically.

7. Their natural habitat gets destroyed continuously

Continuous grazing, fires, and destruction of their natural habitat threaten their lives.
