Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, has noted that prophets in Nigeria failed to capture the ongoing war between Russia ukraine, collapse of national grid and the current energy crisis in the country.
Pastors and self-acclaimed prophets are used to releasing series of prophecies about the country, the continent and the world at large at the beginning of each year.
These prophecies capture things, according to them, would happen in the new year around the world and in many occasions, their predictions never happen.
Some of these prophets would go on to predict things that are already a given, such as the death of a popular figure whose name they won’t mention or even that President Muhammadu Buhari will travel to the United Kingdom for medical checks, something most Nigerians have already marked in their calendar.
Now Shehu Sani, an activist and a popular face in the eighth national assembly, is wondering why none of the prophets mentioned big issues such as the war in Ukraine.
“At the beginning of the year, none of the ‘Prophets’ prophesied Ukraine, national grid failure and energy crisis,” Sani, who represented Kaduna central Senatorial District, tweeted. Continue Reading
