Some primary school pupils in Ibadan have penned the things they want people to know about them and the things they love doing. Blessing Agoro, an on-air personality (OAP), on Diamond FM, University of Ibadan, spoke with the pupils. Kingsley Alumona brings excerpts:
Tomiwa Alabi
I am a pupil of Richgates Divine School. I am a female child and the first among three children in my family. I love sumptuous meals. I am always eager to learn and grow. I am passionate about subjects like science and mathematics, which challenge me to think logically and understand the work around me.
Aside from academics, I enjoy participating in extracurricular activities like choir, coding, and painting which let me explore my talents and meet new friends. Also, I love going on adventures with friends because it relaxes me and makes me creative.
Toluwanimi Olayiwola
I am an eight-year-old girl. I am 149cm tall and weigh 42kg. I am a Yoruba Christian from Oyo State. I live in Ibadan. The name of my school is The Mid-Line British School. I am in grade four.
My favourite foods are fried rice, chicken, and ketchup. My favourite colour is pink, my favourite cartoon is Unicorn Academy, my favourite sport is skipping and swimming, and my favourite subject is French. I like drawing and colouring. I dislike fighting. What I want to be in the future is a woman who owns companies of artists and a lawyer.
Sikemi Iroko
I am a nine-year-old from Oyo State. The name of my school is Mid-line. The names of my friends are Ademi, Toke, Richmond, and Samuel. My favourite foods are chips, chicken, and ketchup. My favourite subjects are social studies, basic science, English, and CCA.
My favourite colours are gold, silver, pink, purple, green, blue, white, and black. My hobbies are dancing, singing, reading, playing cards, watching movies, and painting. I want to become an actress and a medical doctor in the future.
Moyinoluwa Ojo
I am eight years old. I am a Christian. My birth is April 5, and I am the firstborn of my family. I am in grade four, the royal best class, and the name of my school is Issochar Vision International School. The name of my church is Methodist Church, Bodija.
We are five in our family, and the names of my siblings are Fiyin and Oba. The names of my friends are Shikemi, Blessing, Christianah, and Peter. My favourite colours are pink and gold. My favourite food is yam and egg. I love math and English, and work very hard on them.
Pelumi Olawuyi
I am 10 years old, the first in a family of three children, and I took after my mum in looks and attitude. I am a Christian and very passionate about God. I attend Richgates Divine School.
I am a little picky about the foods I eat. I delight in spaghetti with sauce and chicken. I also must eat early because I am a gastric ulcer patient. I am allergic to noise and can become very emotional in a very noisy environment. Mathematics is my best subject because it applies to my everyday life.
Abimusade Adewuyi
I am eight years old. I am currently in grade four, and the name of my school is Gracey Private School. I love going to school and doing my homework. My favourite subject is general knowledge. My state of origin is Ogun State.
I live with my family in Bodija, Ibadan. My family comprises my father, my mother, my sister, and I. We are Christians. My father is an engineer, while my mother is a medical doctor. I love my family very much. We pray and play together.
My favourite food is yam and egg, and my best colour is green. The name of my best friend is Eri. My hobbies are reading and singing. I am a hardworking boy and would like to become a mechanical engineer in the future.
