A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo state, Prince Kayode Bayewuwon has stressed the need for policies that would impact the people of the state.

He said the increasing rate of poverty level and the out-of-school children is disturbing.

Bayewuwon who made this known during an interaction with the newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday expressed his commitment to poverty alleviation.

He said his passion for community development drives his desire to bring about positive change in the lives of those in need.

He stressed the need for the role of economic policy that would be targeted at addressing poverty in the state.

Bayewuwon, an Indegene of Ogbomoso who is aspiring for political office in the upcoming 2027 elections stated that his sincerity and dedication to service will distinguish him from others.

The UK-based Computer Engineering expert outlined a vision that prioritizes the welfare of the people and aims to create opportunities for growth and empowerment.

Bayewuwon’s approach focuses on grassroots engagement, ensuring that the voices of the community are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

He said, “After a wide consultation, people said I should contest for political office, and I’m ready, I will carry people along in all the decisions and policies I will implement, the passion to help people is one of what prompted my aspiration.

“I’m passionate about the progress and development of this state, Oyo State is a pacesetter state, and I want to set a standard for the state.

“One of my aims is to prioritise sports development in the state, revisit curriculum of education to reduce wasting of talents and make the state the best in education.”

Speaking on his philanthropist gesture, Oyetunde said he has touched many lives not just in Ogbomoso but across all local governments in the state and wishes to do more when his aspiration becomes reality.

According to him, his philanthropic efforts have already made a significant impact, and he aims to expand these initiatives through effective governance.

In his quest for political office, Oyetunde plans to implement initiatives that directly address challenges facing people in the state through uplifting individuals and families, and fostering a more equitable society.
