The Kebbi State Geographic Information Service (KEBGIS) has set a revenue target of N1billion for the State Revenue generation drive for this year 2025 as part of the State government economic transformation and development drive.
The General Manager of the Agency, Bashiru Bakuwai who stated this at a media parley with Journaists in Birnin-Kebbi expressed that this contribution of kEBIGIS would go a long way to boost the overall revenue generation drive of the State government for the year.
According to the General Manager of the Agency, the Agency is responsible for all land related titles Generation and Issuance of Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) for regular, recertification, regularization, and systematic property registration.
Including processing and Registration of land-transactions, including: Assignment, Mortgages, Leases and Subleases, Sub-under leases, Change of purpose (land use), Merger and subdivisions.
Ensuring efficient and transparent land administration in line with global best practices Systematic Property registration Programme.
“To express our appreciation and commitment to Governor Nasiru Idris administration, the KEBGIS Agency held a staff meeting aimed at devising innovative strategies to improve the IGR in the state for 2025. The Agency has set an ambitious target of ₦1 billion in revenue generation, demonstrating our dedication to supporting the state’s economic growth.”
“I am also delighted to inform the Governor that within a short period, the Agency has already realized over ₦25 million, a strong indicator of our resolve to meet and possibly exceed the set target.”

“I humbly call on my confirmed colleagues across various parastatals to extend their loyalty and support to His Excellency’s administration. Adding that it is indeed a rare privilege and honor to have his own appointment upgraded from Project Manager to General Manager of the KEBGIS Agency.
Pointing out that this remarkable gesture is not only a testament to His Excellency’s unwavering commitment to recognizing capacity and merit among civil servants but also a historic milestone in Kebbi State’s governance.
