An interest Group within the All Progressives Congress, Osun State, the Alubarika Movement, has commended the leadership of the party for their steadfastness in piloting and managing the affairs of the party.
In a Communique issued at the end of its meeting held at the Law Office of Honourable Adegboye Akintunde in Osogbo, the Movement thumbed up for the chairman and his lieutenants for nurturing the Party to its present status.
The Alubarika Movement however cautioned the Party’s leadership to steer clear of sentiments and parochial interest in determining who becomes the standard bearer of APC ahead of next year’s governorship election in Osun State.
“We appeal to our leaders to caution some segments of our party against externalising party issues and sensational social media war as such are capable of opening the Party’s flanks to cracks.”
Alubarka Movement stresses that it is the responsibility of the leadership and members of the party to select candidates for elective posts.
Encouraging party faithful to adhere strictly to the Party’s guiding principles,the Movement makes it clear that the Constitution,Rules,Regulations and Guidelines of the Party are Supreme and binding on all members of the Party.
“Our focus now as a party is to win next year’s governorship election in Osun State. Therefore, considerations for the Party’s standard bearer should be anchored on proven integrity,respect for and adherence to our Party’s Constitution, loyalty, and wide acceptance among other qualities and attributes. ”
“As we appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s courage, boldness and maturity in piloting the affairs of the nation and pray for God’s guidance towards leading the Country to an enviable height,we hope and pray that the leadership of our party in Osun is imbued with the wherewithal to manage the process of producing the best candidate for us in next year’s election in the State.”
The Communique was signed by the Alubarika Movement chairman,Alhaji Kehinde Olamolu,Honourable Kehinde Lawal(Isokan),Honourable Fafowora Folarin Akinyemi (Ilesa West),Hon Dixon Abiodun(Area Office)Arch Banji Ibiyemi(Irepodun) and Hon Ezekiel Dibu Adeyemi(Iwo).
