Deputy National Secretary, All Progressive Congress (APC) and Chairman, National Teachers Institute (NTI) Barrister Festus Fuanter have described the death of the late former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) General Jeremiah Useini as a significant loss to Nigeria saying Nigeria will miss his wealth of experience both as a military and accomplished politician.
During a condolence visit to the deceased’s family, Barrister Fuanter said Lt. General Useini committed his youthful and adult life to the service of the nation, adding that he served meritoriously as a commissioned officer of the Nigerian Army in various capacities, also as an outstanding politician after his retirement.

According to him, the deceased left indelible footprints as a professional soldier and inspiring commander wherever he served.
“He also made some difference in politics as the deputy national chairman of the All Peoples Party and a senator representing the Plateau South Senatorial District.”
He further acknowledged Useni’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to national service, noting that his efforts in promoting peace and security, especially in Northern Nigeria and Plateau State, will be fondly remembered.
The NTI Board Chairman, therefore, prayed that God Almighty will grant the deceased’s soul eternal rest and solace for his family.
