Good afternoon my good friends in the media.
Yes; as introduced by my good friend and E.D. News Voice of Nigeria. My name is Doctor Godwill Richman a Politician from Akwa Ibom State who has seen it all.
My brief political history in Akwa Ibom State is I belong to the founding fathers of PDP in my dear State. We brought the party to our people and has remained faithful with the party till date.
I worked tirelessly for the emergence of our former Governor Senator Godswill Okpabio now Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. Together with well-meaning Akwaibomites we produced the current Governor His Excellency Udom Emmanuel whose tenure will end on May 29, 2023.
Having worked tirelessly, loyally and committedly, the good people of Akwa Ibom felt it was time for this gentleman Godwill Richman to be given the trust to govern the people of Akwa Ibom.
I have consulted, listened, prayed and sought the will of God and the elders of the party and decided today to throw in my hat in the ring by joining the race for the seat of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State come 2023.
You my friends gathered here today are amongst the very first set of people I am making this announcement to.
Providence has brought us together and with your support we shall all celebrate together in 2023.
I titled this interaction with my friends as “MY COVERNANT WITH AKWA IBOM PEOPLE”
Godwill Richman is a stabilizing factor in terms of reuniting the entire Akwa Ibom State, once I win the PDP ticket to stand for elections in 2023, I will bring all those that left the party back to the PDP family.
I assure you they will surely come back because of the track record of the man seated and addressing you now.
Richman who is politically, financially, economically, morally upright and trusted by all the Senatorial Districts of the State is the right man to continue with the modest achievements so far recorded in the State. He is ready and willing to use his rich resources and experience for the development of the state.
Richman is a unifying force in the political circles of the state from the local level to national level, On the lips of the people of Akwa Ibom State today is: If PDP does not want to lose the Governorship seat of the State to the opposition party; APC, Richman should be elected as the governorship candidate of the PDP in 2023.
As I said earlier, I have been in the system since 1999. I am a founding member of the PDP working in the power house of Federal Government, gathering experience, in all fields of administration. I think I am the right man for the job with the experience I have gathered since 10999 all I need is the support of my people to turn round the fortunes of our dear state.
Godwill Richman has traveled world-wide meeting with world leaders such as the great Queen Elizabeth,Prime Minister Tony Blair, President George W. Bush of USA, President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa President Mubarak of Egypt and President Levy of Israel amongst many other leaders to woo investors to our dear states.
Having gathered all these experiences and connections worldwide, when given the opportunity to govern the people of my dear State I will develop it and within two years I will turn it into the business hub of Africa just like Dubai is to the rest of the world.
I will build three cement companies in the three senatorial districts, establish ceramic companies, agro-allied industries, modern high sea fishing systems and sea food processing company.
Modern health systems will be provided in all Local Government Areas of the State to stop health tourism to outside the country, there will also be youth inclusiveness in my government.
There will be 30- 40-30 percent sharing formula for women and youth in the cabinet.
Women will be given priority of place in my government and given , sensitive government positions.
Since 2015, my people have been clamoring for me to contest; I was busy building and nurturing the party in our dear state. Now the time has come and I will like to whole heatedly tell my people that I am now ready to serve them and lead them to the promise land.
All I am asking for and need from my people in Akwa Ibom is their support and I will not disappoint.
Akwa Ibom state under my watch will be secured we train our security in the Israeli security system way giving it international status and making the State the safest in the country to do business.
In God We Trust and with God on our side we shall deliver the dividends of democracy to our people God helping us.
