A Nigerian woman who’s a receptionist at a reputable firm has narrated how her boss succeeded in getting her sacked after the Admin manager had overpaid her.
Chiamaka Ekemezie who resides in Port-Harcourt Rivers State made it known to Nationnewslead that she got a job with a firm (Top professional institute) in Portharcourt and said it was at the time to pay salaries to every staff of the organization and she was just 9 days old with them so she was just to be calculated by the number of days she worked for. When the alert came on her phone she noticed the Admin manager had overpaid her the sum of 105,000 so she immediately called her attention to the mistake and she confirmed it and called her back to return everything back to her account.
According to the lady she said she tried using her phone to transfer the money back to her but noticed she couldn’t because her account needed to be upgraded as the money was hanging in ledger balance and not available balance, so she was told to go to the bank first thing Monday morning so they can rectify the issue because all of this happened over the weekend when banks where not operating.
Chiamaka said she told her intentions to go to the bank on Monday and she told her to go along with some items which she did.
On Monday morning, 4th July 2022 she was already at the bank when she got a text message from her boss to leave what she is doing at the Bank and come for a meeting at the office as they were all expected to have a meeting with the Director.
The young lady said after she finished with the bank she went to the office and met them still having the meeting but the director asked her where she was coming from she told him and he asked her to wait downstairs at the reception and that the admin manager will attend to her.
After the meeting, she called for her and told her she is angry with her for not abiding by her rules to leave whatever she was doing at the bank and come for the meeting She asked her what Next? what is the verdict? And she said, she should go home till further notice that she will call her invariably means she has been sacked because she tried to return her money which out of Gross negligence was sent to her.
