Details have begun to emerge from the trial of Manchester City’s defender, Benjamin Mendy.
Mendy and his co-defendant, Louis Saha Matturie are currently on trial at Chester Crown Court in England.
They are facing an eight counts of rape and one sexual assault, said to have happened between 2018 and 2021.
Opening the case, Timothy Cray QC said that it had “very little to do with football” and more about men who “think they are powerful”, Marca reports.
Mendy is said to have committed the offences against seven young women at his isolated mansion between October 2018 and August 2021.
Some women told the court that the football star had their mobile phones taken away, while others said they were attacked in locked rooms.
According to Marca, the latest development is that the court heard that Mendy raped three women in the same night.
The women were allegedly raped following a pool party at the player’s mansion and a trip to Manchester’s China White nightclub. Continue Reading
