Nationnewslead reports that It was a gathering of who is who in Nigeria, Thursday, when Iloko-born billionaire, Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe and Bola Taiwo, concluded their wedding ceremony in the ancient city of Lagos, Lagos State.
Over four private jets conveying dignitaries from different parts of the country for the colourful ceremony landed at Lagos Airport between Wednesday and Thursday.
Apart from solidifying the relationship between both families, the occasion brought warring leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state together.
The leaders of both parties buried their political differences to honour Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency House of Representative Aspirant, Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, who is well known for his philanthropic gestures in the state.
Remarkably also, the marriage further solidified the historical relationship between the Ijesa’s and the Ijebu’s.
As it seems, Prince Thomas only came home to take one of his kindred as wife.
It was not surprising that the ceremony was like a home coming for some of political leaders who stormed Lagos State, dressed in their traditional attire, as their Ijesa counterparts.
Dignitaries including politicians, captain of Industries, academics, religious and traditional leaders as well as top government functionaries were present at the colorful ceremony.
Former Osun State Deputy Governor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), His Execellency Benedict Olugboyega Alabi attended the engagement ceremony held at the Sheba Event center, Mobolaji Bank Anthony way, Ikeja, Lagos State.
