Understanding The Gimmicks And Thwarting The Desperation Of The Desperado
The desperation of the current holder of Ijesa North Federal Constituency seat at the Federal House of Representatives to hold on to power beyond 2023 despite his 16 years long tenure characterized by self-representation, kleptomaniac, high level of corruption, diversion and conversion of projects and responsiveness should bother every reasonable voters and constituent.
Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency has now become a shadow of itself with the sit-tight syndrome of one man who has continually enriched himself to the detriment of his constituents despite his long years of reign and holding various juicy positions. His position as senior ranking member of the National Assembly has not impacted the constituency in any way.
Still difficult to point to any developmental projects facilitated by him as representative of the people, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke’s desperate move to manipulate himself into the hallowed Chamber has been uncovered and must be halted by all.
It’s glaring that the Federal Government is not resting on its oars to better the lots of Nigerians through the federal legislators with constituency projects to every constituency across the country. Shreds of evidence abound in other constituencies except ours. While other lawmakers are facilitating projects and developing their constituents and constituency, our representative has only succeeded in assembling a few cronies that receive crumbs on the altar of corruption.
Unfortunately, Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency is not blessed with a passionate, selfless, responsive, accessible, and people’s friendly representative in the person of Wole Oke a serial liar and deceiver. Nothing is honorable in his character.
The people have bemoaned Wole Oke’s continuous lack of impactful representation and illegal wealth accumulation that has made him a demi-god to be challenged at the poll. Rather than facilitating projects, he prefers saving for elections to buy people’s conscience. He is now intimidated by the popularity of his opponent and the massive development going on across the constituency by Hon. Seun Odofin of All Progressive Congress (APC)
It’s high time to reason beyond party and other sentiments to collectively liberate ourselves and unborn generations. Everyone must shun electoral apathy and participate actively in the coming election to elect the best to get the best representation.
We must not again give our mandates to the wrong person who is not only depriving us of the needed human capacity building and communities developments but strategically preparing to lord his children over us. Relying on his huge wealth accumulation, he has dared us to stop him at poll come February 2023.
An impeccable source said he has earmarked a whooping sum of money running into 500 million to buy votes at the February 25, 2023, National Assembly poll. He believes so much in his wealth to engage in vote purchase than good representation.
Large numbers of thugs are also said to have been contracted to perpetrate evils ranging from scaring away potential voters of opposition parties, primarily of APC extraction, disrupting the election process, etc.
Ijesa North people should look out for these machinery electorates in their neighborhood and on the day of the election.
Strangers in every neighborhood that made sudden appearances to cast votes should be challenged and disallowed.
It behooves every good citizen of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency to stop this man from rigging the election.
