As a bonafide worker in Osun, it is important to call the attention of our colleagues to the matter of our outstanding salaries and our future.

We all have been lying to ourselves that the Governor Oyetola’s administration is workers friendly because few of our leaders are benefiting immensely from that lie. Those few leaders selfishly used their positions at our general expense to sell Oyetola in 2018. They were rewarded with heavy lucre by Oyetola’s brother, the lion of Bourdillon. We went along with them to support Oyetola, not because we’re foolish but because we believe, he will, among other expectations pay our modulated salary arrears. Over 40 months out of his 48 month’s tenure down the line, Oyetola has not said a word about that arrears. We hear him and his gate crashers fellows murmuring that his government doesn’t have money to pay the arrears. Yet, Oyetola, his Commissioners and other appointees takes their salary and allowances fully. (We know what that amounts to monthly) Yet, they carry out some other minimalist approach to governance. Oyetola’s Commissioner for Road Patching and “Iconic” bridge building will brag to high heaven how responsible they are in government.

They brag that they don’t borrow a kobo since they took government, yet they asked contractors to build overhead beautified with pictures bridge with his money with an ISPO. ISPO is Issued Standard Payment Order which empowers deductions for the contractor at the source. Still, just as Governor Oyetola claimed to have resigned silently/quietly from the APC’s NCECPC, so they silently/quietly received refund of money spent on federal government roads which they claimed the previous government took loans for. Dear colleagues, if Oyetola had been sincerely and genuinely sensitive to workers plight, should he not have paid just one month of the outstanding arrears? Osun workers should not be stupid to expect payment of any outstanding salary arrears from Oyetola who we thought, as one of the prime movers of the modulated salary payment arrangement, will pay. He has used us to gain power in 2018, he is using us to ensure his predecessor whose major Adviser he was to sustain that blackmail and he wants to use us to continue to blackmail his predecessor, whose tenure we had genuine enjoyment but for the world economic recession to gain second term.
Incidentally, the spiritual realm has revealed to the world what Osun workers should expect non payment of salaries for the next four years if, (may God forbid bad things), Oyetola should gain second term. From the spiritual realm, Osun workers should not expect salary of any description for the next four years. Therefore, dear colleagues, “efura o”. Wisdom is the principal thing, in all your getting, Osun workers should get wisdom. Continue Reading
