The abducted Sole Administrator of Ideator North Local Government Area of Imo State Mr. Chris Ohizu has been beheaded after paying N6m ransom.
His beheading came a few days after he was kidnapped with bullet wounds on his leg. The Sole Administrator was beheaded Monday after his abductors had collected N6m ransom.
The video that has gone viral on social media platforms confirmed the beheading of the Council chairman.
It would be recalled that the Sole Administrator has whisked away last week alongside the chairman of the All Progressive Congress of the Local Government Area and another victim.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammed Barde confirmed the incident to the Nigeria Tribune in Owerri on Monday in a telephone chat.
He said that the Commander has already deployed his tactical team to rescue before the surfacing of the video on social media.
He assured that the command would not relent until the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to book.
