…..Urges Citizens To Be Vigilant As Governor, PDP Have Concluded Plans To Stoke Crises
The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has described as deceitful the directive that illegal council chairmen and councillors should stay away from the council secretariats, saying Governor Ademola Adeleke has concluded plans to attack the legally-reinstated chairmen and councillors through Amotekun Corps and non-state actors imported from Oyo State and the Niger Delta.

The party, in a statement issued on Monday, said intelligence information available at its disposal indicated that the governor’s political dynasty currently headed by the business mogul, Dr Deji Adeleke, were displeased with the national embarrassment and media backlash experienced on account of the charade election conducted by the government.
According to the APC, the directive to stay away from the local government secretariats is a mere smokescreen as the governor and his party are hell-bent to foment trouble and blame it on the legally-recognized and reinstated chairmen who are resolute to return to work in their various secretariats on Monday.
The APC’s discoveries also fingered the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor’s Forum, Senator Bala Muhammed and Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde as part of the plots to stoke crises and inflame Osun State in order to criminalize and demonize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Makinde was reported to have mobilized thugs from Ibadan, Oyo State and provided shield for them to move to the state during inauguration of the illegal local government chairmen in Osogbo on Sunday afternoon while Bala Muhammed has secured the support of a PDP governor to mobilise Niger Deltan militants to wreck havoc in the state this week.
The attendance of the two governors, according to the party security intelligence, was to provide cover to move the hoodlums to the Government House in Osogbo.
The information available indicated that Dr Deji Adeleke pleaded with the two governors to personally attend the inauguration to perfect the plans of the attack and give the process a credibility having realized the national shame the election brought to the governor, his family and his political dynasty.
The mission of the transported Niger Deltan militants into the state, that would be disguising in security uniforms, is to abduct opposition members and intimidate citizens, creating an atmosphere of fear and chaos and blame opposition for it to gain public sympathy and confer legitimacy on the illegal chairmen.
It was also discovered that: “These militants are the same criminals notorious for kidnapping people for ransom in their region, and they have now been drafted to the state to unleash terror on our people.
“To provide cover for this sinister move is the Amotekun Corps, led by a controversial ex-police officer and former Chief Security Officer to Governor Ademola Adeleke, CSP Adekunle Omoyele (rtd). The men of the Amotekun Corps are to provide hooded cloths and mask in order to hide their identities and escape justice after perpetrating their evil acts.
“For avoidance of doubt, we urge the security agents to visit the official quarters of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, at the Government House as at the time of issuing this press statement, it would be discovered that the mini-field of the building is bubbling like a military training ground with amalgamation of suspected cultists, hoodlums and militants drawn from outside the state.
We decided to raise this alarm based on our ugly experience last week. It would be recalled that it was in this manner that Governor Adeleke raised alarm accusing former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of planning to foment trouble not knowing that they had laid ambush to kill our reinstated chairmen which led to the killing of Hon. Remi Abass in Irewole Local Government Council Area.
“We call on the people not to take Governor Adeleke serious. That has been his antics. He will issue a peace-prone directive and at the end would be promoting violence underground.
“This was the same strategy adopted during the verdict of the election petition tribunal in 2023 as well as the event of last week where no fewer than six members of the APC were bludgeoned to death following the judgement of the Appeal Court reinstating the chairmen and councillors.
“We call on the citizens of the state, particularly the workers and traders to be vigilant not to be victims of these hoodlums in the name of politics just as we call on security agents to be at alert and double efforts to protect the people of the state”, the statement read.
