In order to ensure the safety of Nigerian workers within and outside the shores of the country, the Association of Recruiters, License Placement Agents of Nigeria (ARLPAN) has renewed its call for the promotion of ethical recruitment practices in Nigeria, stating that without ethical recruitment practices, workers safety is jeopardised.

ARLPAN, a registered body dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity among its members and a leading voice in private international recruitment and labor provision industry has set in motion procedures that will ensure the safety of workers that go through the chain into any labour market.

Speaking on the system put in place by the association to ensure worker’s welfare and uncompromised safety, ARLPAN through its President, Mr. Rex Bamidele Jacob, a seasoned and trained recruiter stated that the body has formed strong alliances and strategic partnerships with important government agencies.

“ARLPAN has forged strong partnerships with esteemed organizations, including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), International Labour Organization (ILO),

Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Employers Association of Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC),” he said.

He added that with its growing membership base, ARLPAN represents a diverse range of private international recruitment and labor provision professionals committed to ethical practices who operate towards the common goal of promoting ethical recruitment practices, training and retraining recruiters, conducting seminars and workshops annually, bridging the gap between government regulatory agencies and recruiters, ensuring and facilitating members to obtain labour license/CAC, defending members’ interests and protecting employees’ rights

“Safety of workers is a priority and because of this, we regularly convene high-level meetings with partner organizations to discuss industry developments, address challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration to foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and cooperation. ARLPAN plays a vital role in shaping Nigeria’s international recruitment and labor provision landscape,” Rex added.
