Ijemba community under Atakumosa East local governement of Osun State, Ajemba of Ijemba contestant Prince Adewale Oluwabukunmi while addressing subjects and guests at the community monthly town hall meeting said a new light has come upon Ijemba.
“Ijemba is our home, all indigenes of Ijemba home and abroad will be glad to be indigenes of Ijemba. There will be new developments in Ijemba. Ijemba will be different from other towns and villages in terms of development, peace. Everyday, we’ll see God’s compassion,” he assured.
He added: “It is a new day in Ijemba land. A new light is here. You all know what we went through before this day happened.
“To those still aggrieved, let us join hands for the progress of Ijemba. This is God’s doing, let’s work together to achieve great strides for Ijemba. We cannot say we love this town and allow crisis. We will make Ijemba better.
“God has sent me to do great things, to bring about development of Ijemba. I’m not here as king to simply dominate, acquire wealth, make names.
“I’m here to take Ijemba to enviable heights, heights that our forefathers envisaged that makes Ijemba stand out in Ijesa land such that Ijemba indigenes will be cherished anywhere they are seen,” he said.
