If you follow the trends in the 90s, for the upwardly mobile and socially-heeled, the name Godwin Mekwuye was on the lips of many.
The designer, a pioneer of stylish cuts in men’s fashion reigned supreme in Lagos and was the toast of the top singers, who hailed his fashion house, Vivid Imagination, and tagged Mekwuye the only designer of his generation.
Surprisingly, decades after, Mekwuye has not lost steam, the cloth maker is still in tune with fashion and doesn’t fail to upgrade his skills to meet the standard of the new generation.
Only recently, Mekwuye, whose journey into fashion some 33 years ago, was a success opened his multi-purpose fashion headquarters in Lagos and called for a big celebration.
The new Vivid Imagination office is a model workshop with all the modern facilities in place.
Present at the opening were the likes of Chief Dele Momodu, Tunji Alapinni, Mudi Enajemo, Ademola Aderemi, and some other prominent clients and friends of the designer.
