The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, ANSIPPA, Mr Mark Okoye, has said that the state is ready to host the world in the Anambra Investment Summit scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, September 7th, 2023.

Mr. Okoye, who stated this during a press briefing in Awka, also disclosed the level of preparedness for the Summit scheduled to be held at the Anambra International Convention Centre, Awka.

Mr. Okoye noted that over four hundred guests, ranging from Deposit Finance Institutions to organised private sector, manufacturers associations, AFREXIM Bank, World Bank, and ambassadors from certain countries, are expected to attend the event.

The ANSIPPA boss said that the programme is an opportunity for Anambra to discuss and chart the future of the state to fulfill Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s promise of sustained prosperity.

He pointed out that the event is an opportunity for more people to participate in what is happening in the state and recalled some carefully orchestrated timeline build-up events that heralded the Summit, including the town hall meetings in Lagos, Anambra, and Abuja, as well as the roundtable session with biggest importers, manufacturers, and exporters in the state.

According to Mr Okoye, discussions at the summit will be focusing more on critical projects that can be used to develop the state, including discussions on power, ongoing industrial hubs, the technology space, and how to build sustainable businesses in Anambra state, among others, revealing that deals on infrastructure, agriculture, and others will be signed as well.

Mr Okoye, who mentioned that twelve committees are working to ensure a hitch-free event, noted that Governor Soludo’s disruptive approach to governance has been dealing with foundational issues that can inhibit sustainable investments in the state and assured that bottlenecks and issues of the past have been resolved to accommodate the world.

The Commissioner for Information, Anambra State, Sir Paul Nwosu, an Executive Director at  ANSIPPA, Ejike Osisioma, among others, were present at the briefing.
