The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has condemned attack on the spokesman for the House of Assembly, Gbenga Omole.
Omole, the chairman, House Committee on Information, Youths and Sports, narrowly escaped death at the weekend when gunmen opened fire on his car.
APC said it was worrisome that criminals could launch such level of attack on a law-abiding citizen.
A statement by spokesman for the party, Alex Kalejaiye, said Omole deserved commendation and appreciation from the society.
The statement said: “Omole has made lots of personal sacrifices to ensure the development of youths and sports in the state.
“The Ondo APC urges security agencies to put their skills to demonstration, and ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and punished, to deter others and prevent recurrence.
“We also call for improvement in the security arrangements across the state, to tame desperate players/ actors, as we march towards the 2023 general election.” Continue Reading
