The Delta State Police Command confirmed the death of two of it’s officers including an Assistant Superintendent of Police who died of High Blood Pressure following an attack on a police station in Umutu by unknown gunmen.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the acting PPRO of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright.
The Command lost two police men, while one ASP died out of High Blood pressure in the hospital. The armed bandit who came with the intention of causing mayhem and burning down the station and carting away arm did not succeed, as they could not penetrate the station, no arm loss, the station was not burnt, normalcy has been restored.”
