The BATN Foundation has donated solar-powered borehole to Ndeabor community in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the foundation recently announced that it has inaugurated a 20,000-liter solar-powered borehole in the community as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) to communities across the state
The project ensures a consistent supply of clean water, promoting improved health, economic growth, community empowerment and sustainable development.
The facility is equipped with four solar panels, a 2.2Hp water pump and two 10,000-litre storage tanks, demonstrating the foundation’s dedication to environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.
During the flag-off of the project, General Manager of the foundation, Oludare Odusanya, announced that they stood at the brink of inaugurating the life-changing borehole facility.
He emphasised the critical role that access to clean water plays in the overall wellbeing of a community, noting that it is not merely about quenching thirst but also about empowering individuals.
The project reflects the power of collaboration between the foundation, government bodies and the community.
He extended heartfelt to the state Commissioner for Water Resources and the Permanent Secretary in the ministry for their support.
The roles played by community leaders and residents were also celebrated, highlighting the patience and cooperation that were vital to the project’s success.
Appreciation was also given to Eco-lead Imperial Engineering and Global Resources Limited, the implementing partners whose tireless efforts ensured the project was completed to the standards.
