

Bauchi State Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Transport, Hon Ibrahim Gambo Galadima has decried the slow pace of work on the 33 km Kafin Duguri-Dogon Ruwa-Mansur Federal l road project in the state.
The Commissioner made this known during an inspection visit to some ongoing Federal road projects at Duguri, Bauchi State.

He said that the inspection tour was a directive by the State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad to have a first-hand information on the condition of the projects which was stalled for a long time.
Ibrahim Gambo Galadima advised the contractor handling the 33km road project, Gerawa global Engineering Limited who is busy working at the site to FasTrack the completion of the major part of the project before a stability of a rainy season.
Earlier, The Site Engineer of Gerawa global engineering Limited, Engineer Ahmad Muhammad Auwal appreciated the Commissioner for the unscheduled visits.
He stressed that, despitefull of some challenges encountered during ongoing construction work, the company was able to cover 13 km clearance work and 7km sub base.
Engr. Ahmad reitrated the readiness of the company to do its best towards the completion of the project.
In a similar development, the Commissioner Ministry of Works and Transport expressed dismay over the lackadaisical attitude on the part of the contractor, CEE zali engineering company handling Duguri – Kafin Duguri 5km road.
Ibrahim Gambo Galadima lamented that the project has been abundant for long period of time, promised to seek for why the contractor was not at the site as contained in a statement by Muhammad Sani Yunusa, Information Officer.
