A brand new fire-fighting vehicle has been donated to the Bauchi State Government to enhance efforts in combating fire disasters across the state, with a particular focus on the two local government areas (LGAs) of Darazo and Ganjuwa.
The vehicle was donated by Hon. Mansur M. Soro, the Member representing the Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in the state. He expressed his hope that the vehicle would be especially useful to his constituents during the Harmattan period when fire incidents, often caused by bush burning, are common.
The fire fighting vehicle will be stationed at the Darazo Fire Service Substation for the benefit of the local people. Hon. Soro presented the vehicle to the state government through Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir at the Government House in Bauchi on Thursday.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, the Governor emphasized the importance of collaboration among elected officials to improve service delivery. He further noted that the core purpose of governance is to serve the people by bringing development closer to them through democratic dividends.
