The lingering crisis bedevilling the Kano emirate council has taken another dimension, with the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero, who was sacked by the state government, has begun the facelift of the Nassarawa mini palace (Gidan Nassarawa), where it is occupying

However, this was coming as social media had already been flooded by the prototype containing how the mini palace would look upon completion of the facelift.

It will be recalled that the embattled Emir was dethroned by Governor Abba Yusuf while away outside the state (the palace) and that which paved the way for the reinstatement of the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, who was immediately moved into the Kofar-Kudu palace to ascend the throne.

While returning to the state after his travels to Ogun and Kwara states Emir, Bayero was forced to occupy the Nassarawa mini palace in what could be described as a sit-tight where he carries out his courts.

While speaking with a reliable source who preferred anonymity, a close source to the embattled Emir Bayero said that the whole development surrounding the prototype appears to be true.

The source added that. “Since you saw this, it seems to be true, but the Emir is doing this in his capacity and not the state government. Because already he has started the renovations within the house.”

Also, another fan of the Bayero, Ayman Ado, also took to his Facebook page to post, “Emir Bayero is set to renovate Nassarawa Palace.

“While His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero accepts the Court Order of Maintaining Status-Quo Ante in the Emirship Tussle, and as he remains the Emir of Kano, under this Court proceeding, that Emir Aminu Ado Bayero himself finds it necessary to remodel and facelift the Nassarawa GRA Palace before moving to the main Palace of Gidan Rumfa. This is the prototype of the project,” the post reads.

Also, it will be recalled that in the heat of the controversy, the Kano State government issued a quick notice to the embattled Emir to vacate the house as the government is planning to carry out a massive renovation of the house.

The state government said that it has earmarked a sum of N99.9 million to carry out the renovation exercise.
