Stand-up comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has opened up about the secret to his successful marriage, attributing it to a combination of luck and the acceptance of imperfections.
In a candid chat with media personality VJ Adams, Bovi shared that luck has been a significant factor in his relationship, emphasizing that it often plays a role before any planning in a marriage.
He advised couples to maintain a balanced perspective, urging them not to take themselves too seriously. He debunked the idea of a “perfect marriage,” instead highlighting the importance of embracing the imperfections that naturally exist in any relationship.
“One day at a time, and don’t take yourself too seriously. I believe I’m lucky when it comes to marriage. Luck often plays a part in any marriage before planning comes into play. So, I consider myself lucky,” Bovi shared.

He further explained that while he doesn’t dismiss being pushed or worried in his marriage, he has learned not to take things personally. He believes that perfection in a marriage comes from loving its imperfections.
“I’m not the type to stay in a place that isn’t conducive, and that’s why I consider myself lucky to be where I am. For many years, I approached marriage one step at a time, and I’m naturally a giver. I’m fortunate to have a partner who wants to make it work just as much as I do,” Bovi concluded.
