Nationnewslead reports that President Bola Tinubu has spoken on the proposed new minimum wage for workers in order to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
In a live broadcast few minutes ago, He made it known that his government is working in collaboration with labour unions to review the minimum wage.
He gave an assurance that there will be an increase in the minimum wage for workers.
“In the same vein, we are also working in collaboration with the Labour unions to introduce a new national minimum wage for workers. I want to tell our workers this: your salary review is coming. Once we agree on the new minimum wage and general upward review, we will make budget provision for it for immediate implementation’’
