Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed he is struggling with suicidal thoughts amid the N15 million bribery scandal involving officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Tribune Online reports that EFCC Chairman Mr. Ola Olukoyede initiated an investigation on Tuesday into bribery allegations made by Bobrisky against some Commission’s officers.

In a viral audio recording shared online by Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that some EFCC officers extorted N15 million from him in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.

The development has continued to stir reactions from Nigerians, with many calling for a thorough investigation.

The Federal House of Representatives, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, among others, have all demanded an inquiry into the allegations.

Reacting to the development on Instagram on Thursday, Bobrisky, who had earlier dismissed the audio recording as fake, admitted he is going through a difficult period due to the bribery scandal.

He stated that, for the first time in his life, he is struggling with suicidal thoughts.

However, he made it clear he does not want sympathy from anyone, noting that the only people from whom he would have sought sympathy are his late parents.

In a now-deleted post, he wrote, “I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow human just in d name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them.

“ I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents.

But who will fight for you? Friends?

HATERS YOU WON.”

Tribune Online’s quick check revealed that Bobrisky had deleted all the posts on his Instagram page at the time of this report.
