Adenuga Christopher Olanrewaju, a businessman, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for urgent protection for himself and his family.
This comes after the alleged murder of Engineer David Huesu, who was working on Olanrewaju’s site. Huesu was reportedly killed by individuals wearing military fatigues during a site invasion.

Olanrewaju claims that land grabbers have been using thugs and uniformed men to intimidate and threaten his life. He has noticed strange individuals around his house and site since Huesu’s, posing a risk to his family’s safety.
In a letter to the IGP, Olanrewaju requested an investigation into the alleged extra-judicial killing and previous altercations. He also asked the IGP to expand the investigation to cover the remote and probable cause of death and ensure that culprits and co-accomplices are brought to book.
The case was initially assigned to the IGP Monitoring Unit, but Olanrewaju claims there has been interference, leading to a lack of unbiased investigation. He urged the IGP to intervene and ensure a thorough investigation.
The matter has also been brought to the attention of the Attorney General of the Federation, Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, and Minister of Police Affairs, requesting their swift intervention.
