Nationnewslead report that A prominent philanthropist and candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 House of Representatives election in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Hon. Seun Odofin, today assured Nigerian kids especially his constituents of his readiness to improve on his commitment to better their lives.
The Founder of Odofin OASIS Foundation made this known in his congratulatory message to Nigerian children to commemorate 2023 Children’s Day Celebration.
He stressed the need for children to accept moral teachings and focus on their education as the only way to secure better tomorrow.
The APC stalwart said he recognizes the place of education in the development of the society and promised to continue to provide the needed supports for the children and youths as demonstrated through facilitation of classrooms projects to schools, distribution of notebooks, payment of WAEC fees for many students, offered of scholarships up to university education to 23 brilliant indigent students of Ijesa North Federal Constituency with the number now drastically increased.
Worthy of mention is the offset of medical bills of many young constituents across hospitals with a huge number of children and youths been treated freely under Seun Odofin Free Medical Outreach Initiative. This is in addition to his agricultural and vocational empowerment programs where hundreds of youths benefited.
He had also sponsored Father Christmas Show and Excursion to Timsed Broadcasting Service, Ijebu Jesa with over 683 children as beneficiaries.
Despite this huge intervention, Seun Odofin has promised to expand his scope to cover Information and Communication Technology (ICT), entertainment, skills acquisition, protection from harm, drugs, cultism, sexual abuse, as well as domestic violence.
He submitted that Nigerian children deserve safer environment where they can grow, study, make friends, interact and also emerge as successful leaders in different fields.
“Let me congratulate Nigerian children on the occasion of this year Children’s Day especially our children from Oriade/Obokun. I also want to reiterate my commitment towards your welfare.
I understand the place of education in the development of the society and lives of the people. Be rest assured that all we have done so far are just tip of the iceberg. You will continue to feel more of our impacts.
The much talked about school structures I facilitated is targeted to improve learning environment for you and our teachers. Everyone can attest to the quality of those structures and furniture.
We have also extended the number of our scholarship beneficiaries to ease the burden of less privileged parents blessed with brilliant children. Talk of empowerment, health and social supports, we have done very well but our best is yet to come.
Beyond supporting our youths and children education, we are determined to empower them through ICT and skills acquisition programs.
We are expanding our horizon to cover entertainment and culture to discover and groom talents. We are also ready to protect them from harm, drugs, cultism, sexual abuse, as well as domestic violence.”
