Tribune Church got the views and expectations of church leaders regarding the incoming administrations
Tinubu should restructure Nigeria in all ramifications —Ositelu
President of the World Council of Churches (WCC) for Africa and Primate of The Church of the Lord (TCL) Worldwide, Most Reverend (Dr) Rufus Ositelu, said he expected Tinubu’s administration to restructure Nigeria, institute regional governments with regional policing and ensure fiscal federalism.
Ositelu stressed the need for the incoming government to provide adequate security and regional and community policing.
“He should fix electricity for the economy to thrive, allow the regional governments and private institutions to take over power generation and supply. He should ensure improvement in infrastructure, especially, railway, road, and waterway. Massive youth employment is essential, while also creating a conducive environment for both national and international business communities.
“He should make credit facilities available for those in employment to fulfill their needs and wants. There should be improved education, healthcare and freedom of religion in all parts of Nigeria,” Ositelu added.
New administration: Nigeria’s economy will worsen —Primate Ayodele
Founder and head of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, with headquarters in Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned Nigerians that it is not yet time to rejoice considering the incoming Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, noting that the nation’s economy would worsen.
The seer made this known during an interaction with Sunday Tribune, just as he warned a Muslim-Muslim presidency will collapse Nigeria.
According to him, “There won’t be much hope from the proceedings of the presidential tribunal. The People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressives Party should seek the face of God. I still insist that the Muslim-Muslim presidency will collapse Nigeria. We have not seen anything yet; we will see it later. I am not against anybody. I am not against Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But I know that there would be consequences arising from the Muslim-Muslim ticket. This is to the extent that if Nigeria is not careful a Muslim may emerge as Senate President or Speaker of the House of Representatives. This is why Igbo will not be president in the next 30 years. As a matter of fact, Peter Obi cannot win in court.
“Nigeria will face economic constraints. There will be hardship. President Muhammadu Buhari has tried a little bit. But the Tinubu administration will be from frying pan to fire in terms of the economy. Meanwhile, not all the governors who won this election would complete their terms. Many hidden things will be revealed. It would be a period of tests for some politicians, serving governors, ex-governors, members of the National Assembly, among others. God will pass through Nigeria and he will take away some things.
“Whatever happens after May 29, whether Tinubu will be in office or not, I will tell Nigerians that for now they should not rejoice because I am not seeing anything fantastic coming up in terms of provision of security, Nigeria will still borrow money. The Southwest and Northern cabal will fight each other. “The cabal will handle Tinubu’s government. It would keep his government on hold. There will be a lot of drama. The media will be muzzled; the truth will be denied. There will be a lot of controversies in Tinubu’s government. Let us wait and see. It is not going to be business as usual in terms of the economy, security, education, and many others. Many people will seek power at all costs in this coming administration.
“We should be more prayerful. This democracy will cause more problems and worsen the ethnic crises in the country. A southerner will emerge as the next Inspector General of Police.”
Nigerians cooperation, prayers will determine Tinubu’s success —Obey
In his own take, music legend and General Overseer of Decross Gospel Mission, Evangelist Obey-Fabiyi, said that the only way the incoming government at the Federal and state levels can achieve greater success is through the cooperation and prayers of all Nigerians.

“We are grateful to God for how far He has taken perfect control of the affairs of the nation. I want to charge all Nigerians to join hands to support this new government. God is aware of what is happening in the nation. We should cooperate with the government and be interested in the success of the president. I also wish all the governors, especially in the southwest well. I want them to run an inclusive and God-fearing government,” he added.

Cleric-cum-musician, Pastor Joseph Adelakun said that he is optimistic about the success of the incoming government, especially the President-elect Tinubu and the new administrations across states.

I want to advise them to seek God’s wisdom to appoint God-fearing and visionary personalities that will transform the country,” he added.

“I know someone very close to him whom he had told back in the late 80s that he would become the president one day. I believe that he has good intentions. One crucial thing I want him to do is to reconcile the nation; all the geopolitical zones as well as to balance the structure of the nation.
“He is full of wisdom, intelligence and a rare breed. I expect him to ensure peace. There is so much acrimony in our nation and problems in our land, unemployment, corruption, security challenges, among other challenges,” he added.
He also admonished him to revamp the Ajaokuta steel complex and many other moribund facilities in the country, while also charging Tinubu to revisit the oil sector.
Put God first in your administration —Ijasan
Prophet Joseph Ijasan charged Tinubu not to leave any stone unturned from his first day in office and put God first in all that he would do while leading the country.
“Tinubu needs to always seek the face of God before making any decision. If possible, he should create a Ministry of Spiritual Affairs where he’ll seek advice from spiritual leaders,” he added.
Ijasan also admonished Tinubu to concentrate more on security, electricity, agriculture, solid minerals, and education, among others.
He said the development of the solid minerals sector would lead to an influx of investors into the country. “The government should encourage investors to open factories in Nigeria,” he said.

While congratulating the major actors, the organisation, speaking through its national president, Reverend Solomon Adegbolagun, said that Buhari has done his best despite the challenges that characterised his government.
“Yes, on one side we can mention some of the dark sides of the outgoing government like insecurity, indebtedness, nepotism, corruption, inflation and economic problems, but on the other side, Buhari can be scored high in the area of building infrastructure, as he has done more than all his predecessors in the area.
“We also thank God for the life and good health of Buhari from the beginning to the end of his terms. Those saying Tinubu is sick are not God, and we should pray for good health for the incoming president.
“As for the incoming president, we want Nigerians to keep him in their prayers. We also urge the new set of leaders not to shy away from doing things based on righteousness. Nigerians should help the incoming president to succeed. We expect Tinubu to correct the wrongs of his predecessor,” he added.

Planter of the Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard Deliverance, Alaro Abule Egba, Lagos State and the president of the Christian Association of Ministers, Pastor David Alamu, expressed confident that the incoming Tinubu-led administration will be successful, just as he noted that the will of God in transforming Nigeria is about to come to pass.
Alamu, who stressed that the emergence of the incoming government is a welcome development for the growth of democracy, urged Nigerians to have more faith in the new leadership as God will change the story of Nigeria for the better through the new adminstration.
He charged Christians in the country not to relent in their prayers for the leaders and the nation, while he urged leaders to deem it fit to take everyone along, especially those that are interested in the peace and unity of the country.
“I prophesied about Tinubu’s victory. I am happy God manifested His will. Therefore, I wish him success in all his good intentions, especially on stability of economy, revamping agriculture, electricity, good road, provision of employment for youths and restoration of election,” he added.
