In a resolute effort to champion positive change and better the lives of our fellow citizens, the Coalition of Youths from Benue State has recently submitted a compelling appeal to the Honorable Minister of Works, Federal Ministry of Works, Abuja, Nigeria. Our letter highlights the dire state of the long-abandoned Otukpo/Enugu federal road reconstruction project, a matter of profound concern to our communities.
The Otukpo/Enugu federal road project holds immense significance as it connects the North Central region of Nigeria to the South East, passing through the critical Otukpo-Otukpa-Nsukka axis of Enugu State. However, despite its vital role in facilitating trade, access to services, and economic growth, the project has been marred by abandonment, causing untold hardships to our people.
In our earnest appeal, we have called upon the Honorable Minister of Works to:
Conduct an Inspection Visit: Witnessing the deplorable condition of the road firsthand is paramount to understanding the urgency of the situation.
Expedite Resumption of Work: We implore the Minister to utilize his esteemed office to ensure the swift resumption and completion of the project, which has languished for far too long.
Provide Regular Updates: Transparency and accountability are essential, and we have requested regular updates on the progress of the project to keep concerned stakeholders informed.
