A High Court in Kano State, on Tuesday, fixed May 27, 2024, to hear three applications regarding the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
It will be recalled that on April 17th, the court granted an order directing parties to maintain the status quo as of April 15th, 2024, regarding the suspension of the APC national chairman by the Ganduje Ward executive committee.
However, the applications to be entertained by the court include preliminary objections, jurisdiction, and joinder.
The applicants, Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani Borguma, through their counsel, Ibrahim Sa’ad, informed the court that they had filed a motion ex parte with a 13-paragraph affidavit seeking an order for interim injunction on Ganduje’s suspension.

During the mention of the case on Tuesday, the counsel to the applicant, Ibrahim Sa’ad, informed the court that they were served with the respondent’s counter affidavit in court.
The counsel then requested another date to enable them to respond to the application.
While the counsel to the first, second, and third respondents, MM Duru, did not object to the request made by the counsel to the applicant for a new date to be given.
