At a recent gathering in Ajah on Friday, April 5th, 2024, members of the De Renaissance Patriots Foundation addressed concerns raised by a Daily Trust report titled “APC tackles group as debate on Lagos governors’ indigenous resurfaces. “The organization expressed disappointment with the media’s portrayal and emphasized the importance of fair representation for Lagos indigene across all political parties.
The group denounced attempts by certain APC members to engage them in political discourse, particularly regarding the origins of Lagos indigene. They highlighted the historical significance of Lagos as a longstanding community with rich traditions predating Nigeria’s formation.
