The surgical operation performed on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was successful.
The team of doctors made the confirmation in a statement released Saturday night.
They said the break of the VP’S right femur (thigh bone) was related to a longstanding injury associated with a game of squash.
Osinbajo, a senior advocate, was treated by the experts for the recurrent pain caused by the fracture.
The VP was on Saturday admitted to the Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos.
“The operation was successful, and he is expected to be discharged within the next few days”, said Dr Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi, the Medical Director.
The team of experts who performed the surgery include, Dr. Wallace Ogufere, Dr. Om Lahoti and Dr. Babajide Lawson, all Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons).
