Reactions have trailed the sharing of petrol as a souvenir during the installation ceremony of Chief Dr Pearl Chindinma Ogbulu as Erelu Okin of Orile Kemta in Lagos.
A viral video of the incident has been circulating on social media, eliciting mixed reactions among Nigerians.
The event, which was held on March 4, took place at Oniru, Lagos.
Chidinma was installed by the Olu of Orile Kemta Oba Adetokunbo Tejuosho.

While the video has set many tongues wagging, the State Government on Saturday vowed to investigate the incident.
On the keg containing petrol used as a souvenir in the viral video as seen by The Nation was the inscription which reads: ‘Erelu Okin Foundation Installation Party March 4, 2022’ with a picture of the Chidinma.
Many social users described the action as dangerous to lives and property noting that highly inflammable liquid is too dangerous to be carried around.
While some applauded this gesture and for her ingenuity in thinking out of the box.
A social media user said: “The thought is commendable but this is very risky, what if there’s a smoker at the party”
Another person said: “Very risky something, if DJ wire spark fire ehh, That place go turn to Ukraine.”
Reacting, Erelu Okin on her Instagram page while giving her appreciation message, apologised for her choice of souvenirs at the party.
She said: “I want to use this medium to apologise for the momentary indiscretion of bringing fuel souveniers into the hall.
“My intent was just to show appreciation to my guests for turning up at my event at these hard times.
“I have paused to reflect and truly apologise and I thank you all for your understanding and criticisms.” Continue Reading
