The vehicle involved in the illegal dumping was also confiscated.

“His vehicle was intercepted along the Lekki-Epe Expressway while its driver was caught in the act of illegally dumping refuse on the highway. The driver has been arrested, the vehicle seized, and he will be arraigned in court immediately,” Wahab wrote.

The commissioner issued a strong warning to Lagos residents, emphasising that the state will not tolerate actions that threaten the environment and public health.

“Let this serve as a clear warning: Lagos State will not tolerate acts that endanger our environment and public health. Enforcement is active, and violators will be held fully accountable,” he said.

The commissioner further noted that keeping the environment clean requires the collaboration of all residents and urged citizens to take responsibility in ensuring a cleaner, healthier Lagos.
