Early morning rain has destroyed several electric poles and buildings in Oviorie-Ovu Community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State, DAILY POST can report.

The rain started with a heavy wind at about 4am on Sunday morning.

Following the destruction recorded, many indigenes and residents have been rendered homeless with the community now plunged into darkness as a result of the heavy wind.

Also affected by the heavy wind were produce plantations as well as crops.

Our Correspondent reports that the wind destroyed many farms in the Community.

Officials of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC are yet to arrive for an assessment of affected electricity infrastructure. Continue Reading
