The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of the 69 suspected internet fraudsters in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Command was quoted in a statement by its Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale as disclosing that the suspects were picked up on Wednesday and arrested at Oduduwa Estate area of Ile-Ife.
Their arrest was sequel to actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.
The following items were recovered at the point of their arrest include exotic cars, 190 mobile phones and 40 laptops among others.
The statement added that the suspects have made useful statements to the EFCC and would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
