The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under the leadership of Mr Ola Olukoyede was thrown into mourning following the killing of one of its operatives, Mr. Halisu Sahabi in Awka, Anambra State, by one alleged Yahoo boy (internet fraudster).
He lost his life while trying to arrest some internet fraudsters in Anambra. The deceased EFCC operative has been buried in Sokoto State where he was born according to Islamic rites.
I want to make a passionate appeal to the EFCC boss to use his good office to purchase infrared night vision cameras and bulletproof vests for all his operatives to be used while going for night raid.
The EFCC should continue with the night raid to get Yahoo boys arrested.
I am very sad for the loss of this vibrant young Nigerian youth who died while discharging his duty to his fatherland. The presidency is expected to honour Halisu Sahabi. Other EFCC operatives should not allow the killing of their colleagues to stop them from going out to carry out their legitimate duties at any time.
Internet fraudsters have inflicted pain on many Nigerians and I am of one the victims.
Parents are expected to tell their children to stop Yahoo Yahoo business. There are many jobs for the Nigerian youths to do in Nigeria instead of thinking of defrauding unsuspected members of the public of their hard-earned money.
