An Ekiti State Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Opeyemi Falegan, on Monday, expressed confidence that a former governor of the state, Chief Segun Oni, would “re-enact his developmental strides” if elected governor next year.
The United-Kingdom based PDP chieftain, in a statement titled, ‘2021 Youths Day: Oni’s agenda, best blueprint for Ekiti youths – Falegan,’ made available in Ado Ekiti, said Oni has the best interest of the people of the state at heart.
He said, “Without mincing words, political leaders in the country have not been giving Nigerian youths a fair share and enough opportunity by not creating a solid foundation that the younger generation could build on whenever the opportunity arose for them to govern.
“But the blueprint of performance of former Governor Oni will be enough of a reference point for youths in the state to take over the mantle of power.
“Chief Oni remains the most experienced, intelligent, visionary and selfless politician with an impeccable character worthy of emulation by the younger generation among the array of aspirants jostling to take over the number one seat in Ekiti State in 2022.”
