The Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hashimu Dungurawa has called on President Bola Tinubu to look for a lasting solution to the ongoing emirate tussle facing Kano, adding that the unconcern posture being displayed, may rubbish his chance of re-election in 2027.

Disclosing this on Sunday while fielding questions from the press at his Lugard House office, he expressed displeasure over the militarization of Kano.

According to him, “People are worried over ways the emirate tussle is giving him bad names while allowing those who are the henchmen in the tussle to roam about freely.”

His words, “Your perceived position on the ongoing Kano Emirate tussles would surely work against you in 2027 because if you think you can use it to gain ground in Kano when the chips are down you will realize your mistakes.

“If the President thinks he will use a few of his loyalists in Kaano and the alleged Bayero’s Yoruba lineage to continue to keep the deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero in the State, let him wait for 2027, we will show him that those people will not help him.

“President to see reason in doing all he could to bring to an end the Emirate debacles by ensuring that the deposed Emir is taking away from Kano.”

Dungurawa therefore disclosed that his Party the NNPP will still field the leader of the party, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for the presidential candidature in 2027, assuring that Kwankwaso would be the next President of Nigeria.

“We are going to field Kwankwaso as our party presidential candidate in 2027, because for now he stands as the only person who will make it to the Presidency and he stands the chances of becoming the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, God willing.”

He then commended the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to education has resulted in improved access to quality education, with the construction of new schools and the renovation of existing ones.

He then commended Governor Yusuf’s administration for its impressive achievements in the last one year.

He made this known on Sunday while speaking with the press in his office, Dungurawa highlighted the significant strides made in education, infrastructure, health, agriculture, youth and women empowerment.

The party chairman also lauded Governor Yusuf’s administration’s efforts in infrastructure development, citing the completion of several road projects and the upgrade of public transportation.

While commenting on the health sector, Dungurawa disclosed that the establishment of new healthcare facilities and the provision of medical equipment has improved healthcare delivery in the state.

He also commended the government’s initiatives in agriculture, which have empowered farmers and improved food security.

While acknowledging the administration’s efforts in youth and women empowerment, he then cited the creation of job opportunities and the provision of training and skills acquisition programs.

Dungurawa’s commendation comes as Governor Yusuf marks his one year in office, and it is seen as a testament to the administration’s commitment to delivering on its campaign promises.

The Governor’s achievements have resonated with the people of Kano State, who have expressed their appreciation for the positive impact of his policies on their lives.
