Chelsea legend, John Terry, on Tuesday, reacted angrily to former Middlesbrough manager, Neil Warnock’s comments on Blues captain, Cesar Azpilicueta.
Warnock had claimed that Azpilicueta was ‘fortunate’ to be at Chelsea and that the Spaniard was not a great defender.
“It goes two ways. I think Azpilicueta has been a very fortunate lad to be at a club like Chelsea. I don’t think he is a great defender. Sometimes in football, you need a bit of luck and I think he’s had a bit of luck at the right time and in the right place. That’s what you need in football, you need a bit of luck to be successful,” Warnock told talkSPORT.
However, Terry replied to the tweet of the video, and wrote, “Is this a wind up? @talkSPORT” >@talkSPORT”
Also, Azpilicueta’s former Chelsea and Spain teammate, Cesc Fabregas replied with a facepalm emoji.
Azpilicueta has made 459 appearances for the Blues and is the club’s seventh highest appearance-maker of all time.
The 23-year-old last weekend made history as he led Chelsea to beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
