The Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has stressed the need for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians irrespective of their tribes and religions.

The Etsu Nupe made the call at the inauguration of Hon. Chief Uzoka’s new house in Bida.

Represented by Gafaka Nupe, Alhaji Abdullahi Umaru Babannachi, the royal Father urged Nigerians to continue to be tolerant and live in peace with one another, irrespective of religious, cultural and ethnic differences.

The traditional ruler commended his subjects for living in harmony with one another and urged them to sustain the peaceful co-existence among the people.

According to him, peace is priceless and it is extremely important to maintain it for the Kin Nupe, Niger State and indeed Nigeria to move forward.

He also commended the people in the Kingdom for their unwavering support to his peace agenda, adding that peace was a basic ingredient for development.

The foremost Monarch, said the peace being enjoyed in the area was due to people’s resolve to unite and urged them to sustain the good understanding.

He appealed to all and sundry in his domain to shun acts capable of tarnishing the image of the area.

The Etsu Nupe commended Uzoka for building a befitting house in Bida, adding, “I am honoured to stand before you today to celebrate a momentous occasion.

“Our beloved Igbo leader has worked tirelessly for our community’s growth and prosperity, and today, we gather to witness another milestone in his life.

“This new chapter in your life is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and commitment to our community.”

He explained that his leadership has inspired countless individuals, and his vision has shaped the town’s future.

“As you begin this new journey, we pray that your home be filled with love, laughter, and joy,

“May it be a sanctuary of peace, a symbol of hope, and a beacon of inspiration to all who enter,” the Etsu Nupe added.

The traditional ruler acknowledged the invaluable support and selfless service of the Igbo leader in his domain.

He urged him to continue in providing affordable goods and services to the people, saying, “We have never heard of your involvement in any unacceptable attitude ”

Abubakar noted that Uzoka’s presence in Bida has made a significant impact, saying, “we look forward to many more years of your guidance and leadership of the Igbo community.
