A former Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army, Lt. Gen Kenneth Minimah (rtd) CFR, has congratulated Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State on the successful conduct of the Rivers State Local Government elections on Saturday.
General Minimah commended the governor for ensuring that the elections were held.
He noted that the just-concluded Local Government election was a significant milestone for the state and Governor Sim’s “Rivers State First” administration.
The General further urged the governor to stay resolute in steering the state towards greater development.
The former Army Chief also congratulated the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), political parties, and all candidates, who participated in the elections for the peaceful conduct of the elections.
He urged the elected officials to prioritize the welfare of the people.
He also called on the people of Rivers State to support the governor for the overall interest of the state.
